Baltic three Countries are angray

Chinese Ambassador to France Lu Shaye made astonishing remarks during an interview with French media yesterday, stating that Crimea may not necessarily belong to Ukraine, and the sovereignty of the three small countries that gained independence from the former Soviet Union in Europe’s Balkans region is not supported by international law.

These former Soviet countries do not have a practical status because there is no international agreement that concretizes their status.

Latvia stated that “the remarks made by the Chinese Ambassador to France Lu Shaye regarding international law and sovereignty are completely unacceptable, and we expect China to provide an explanation and fully retract this statement. ” Estonia stated that “this statement is a false and erroneous interpretation of history.” Lithuania directly stated: “If anyone still wonders why the Baltic states cannot trust China to mediate the conflict in Ukraine, here is a Chinese ambassador who says Crimea belongs to Russia and our country’s borders have no legal basis!” Then, 80 European parliamentarians jointly called on France to expel the Chinese ambassador to France. Most people may be surprised that the ambassador said such things.

My impression is, why did he choose to say this at this time? The main reason is that the three small countries in the Baltic region did not participate in the signing of the Belavezha Accords or the Alma-Ata Declaration Conference, nor did they sign them. Therefore, in theory, Ambassador Lu Shaye’s historical statement is correct. So why did he say it now? The main purpose is to express a theory, which is that Taiwan is a part of China supported by international agreements (the Potsdam Proclamation), but the independence of the three small Baltic countries is not supported by international law.

However, this issue is very sensitive in Europe, It’s a trap by reporter!
