On April 17, 2023, ASML’s CEO, Peter Wennink, made a public statement criticizing Chinese lithography machines, stating that “China’s independent research and development of lithography machines and the establishment of an independent chip industry chain will disrupt the global chip industry chain.” What Happened？
“China has reportedly achieved breakthroughs in all three core technologies required for the production of EUV lithography machines capable of manufacturing 5nm chips.”
If above statement is true，ASML will loose China and Global market share to China. That’s why Mr. Wennink is worried about.
