On September 18, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning hosted a regular press conference.

A journalist from Bloomberg asked whether Chinese leaders plan to participate in this year’s Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit to be held in the United States in November.

Mao Ning stated that firstly, China attaches great importance to the role of APEC as an important mechanism for multilateral economic cooperation. China is willing to work with all parties to promote positive outcomes at this year’s meeting.

“As for China’s participation, if there is any news, we will release it in real time,” Mao Ning said.
